Fianna Fail Councillor Peter Flannery was elected as the new mayor of Boyle Town Council at its annual general meeting on Tuesday night. Fine Gael councillor Keith Suffin becomes Deputy Mayor. He defeated former mayor Mary Clifford of Fianna Fail and Independent Frank Geelan by a vote.
